Q: What is 3-D flying?

A: Great question! 3-D flying can be defined as flying within "stalled" flight for airplanes and defying physics for helis. Over the years pilots on each side have developed maneuvers and given them names to suit.

Q: I'm new to flying and this 3-D "thing" interests me. Will this DVD teach me everything there is to know?

A: While both DVDs cover the how-to's of 3-D maneuvers, neither will teach you everything. These DVDs were designed for the sport flyer that already has a good foundation of basic and advanced aerobatic maneuvers. Basic and advanced "3-D" style maneuvers are covered providing real time stick movements as well as step by step real time instruction. However these DVDs are meant to point you in the right direction as no DVD can substitute practice.

Q: Do I have to use the equipment the pilots use in the DVD?

A: Absolutely not! But consider this... both Alan and Chris have been flying for a long time and have been given opportunities to try out a lot of different equipment. The equipment they used in the DVDs is what they feel is the best to suit their own individual flying style.

Q: I live in a country where PAL is the standard format... will your DVD work?

A: This DVD is NTSC formatted, however it is my understanding that most newer European DVD players decode NTSC DVDs. We have yet to have a return from a DVD not playing, but would honor any return in this particular situation.

Q: Do you have this DVD on VHS video as well?

A: No... DVDs are easier to produce and the quality is tremendously better. There are no plans to produce any titles on a VHS tape in the future.

Q: How do you ship these DVDs and how long does it take?

A: All DVDs are shipped in the US via Postal Priority which typically takes 2-3 days. All international orders (with the exception of Italy) are sent Global Priority Air Mail and takes 4-6 days. Shipments to Italy are sent traditional Airmail... for some reason they do not accept Global Priority.
